Launch of new community energy co-operative in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland Community Energy (NICE) Ltd was launched today at the All Party Group on Co-operatives and Mutuals in Parliament Buildings, Stormont. 

NICE is a community-owned energy co-operative established to provide low carbon energy services across the region.  NICE hopes to raise £150,000 in community shares in order to begin installation of PV solar panels on buildings that are owned by third sector organisations such as community groups and charities.

The first share offer has just opened.  The share offer will stay opened until 23rd March 2015. The minimum investment is £250.
